What is Ozempic (Semaglutide)?

Ozempic is a drug based on Semaglutide , a peptide-based GLP-1 receptor agonist, developed for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and now also widely used for weight management and metabolic health.

Semaglutide works by mimicking the gut hormone GLP-1, which regulates satiety, appetite , and blood sugar control. Thanks to this mechanism, Ozempic effectively reduces hunger and promotes progressive and sustainable weight loss.

Main effects of Ozempic (Semaglutide)

🍽 Appetite control
Semaglutide reduces central hunger signals and slows gastric emptying, prolonging the feeling of satiety after meals.

🩸 Blood Sugar Regulation
Ozempic stimulates insulin secretion in response to meals and reduces the release of glucagon, helping to stabilize blood sugar levels, especially in the presence of insulin resistance.

⚖️ Weight Loss
By reducing calorie intake and improving appetite control, Semaglutide promotes fat loss without resorting to extreme diets.

🫀 Metabolic and cardiovascular support
Ozempic use is often associated with improvements in blood pressure, lipid profile, and inflammatory markers, reducing overall metabolic risk.

How to take Ozempic (Semaglutide)

Semaglutide is supplied in a 2 mg lyophilized powder vial and must be reconstituted with water for injections before use.
It is administered via subcutaneous injection once a week , always on the same day.
