What is Halo (Halotestin)?

Halo, also known as Halotestin, is the trade name for fluoxymesterone, an oral anabolic steroid with a very powerful androgenic effect and highly selective anabolic activity. Fluoxymesterone is mainly used to increase strength, muscle hardness, and competitive aggression without significantly increasing body weight.

Due to these characteristics, Halotestin (halo) is mainly used by strength athletes and those who practice combat sports or disciplines in which it is not desirable to move up a weight class. The drug is often used shortly before competitions, thanks to its ability to improve psychological motivation, intensity, and controlled aggression.

Fluoxymesterone is not recommended for long cycles, as it is highly hepatotoxic and can cause significant stress on the liver if used for prolonged periods.

Considerations on use

Numerous studies show that Halotestin causes a significant increase in liver enzymes, a sign of stress and cell damage in the liver. For this reason, its use is generally limited to short periods (5–6 weeks at most).

The optimal dose of fluoxymesterone is generally 10 mg per day. Exceeding 20 mg significantly increases the risk of side effects, especially hepatic and hormonal.
